Paddock Shops, formerly known as The Summit, is one of Louisville’s largest shopping centers. It is located off of Brownsboro Road in the city’s East End. The Summit Louisville is an outdoor shopping venue with nearly 400,000 square feet of retail space. It is home to more than 50 stores and restaurants, including Pier 1, Gap, Express, Barnes & Noble, and Bath and Body Works. Flynn Brothers Contracting, Inc. was awarded the project and performed all of the site work, underground utilities, and asphalt paving on site. The shopping complex formally opened on November 1, 2001. M&J Wilkow, a Chicago-based full-service real estate firm, recently took over management of the retail center. The new name was formally announced on August 15, 2013 as Paddock Shops after a public contest was held.
